1. When Wet Ones Benzethonium Chloride and PHMB are used alone, the bactericidal rate is lower than that of mixed use, that is, the two bactericides have a synergistic bactericidal effect. And when the mass fraction of benzethonium chloride was about 50%, the bactericidal rate reached the highest value, the bactericidal rate of the mixed fungicide was close to 80% for Escherichia coli, and the bactericidal rate for Staphylococcus aureus was close to 90%. That is to say, when the two fungicides are configured in a ratio of 1:1, the best synergistic effect can be exerted. The two fungicides showed synergistic bactericidal effect, the possible reason is that both are cationic surfactants, but the relative molecular weights of the two fungicides are quite different. The relative molecular weight of benzethonium chloride is small, and polyhexamethylene biguanide is a polymer with relatively high molecular weight, so the bactericidal mechanism of the two may be different. Therefore, when they are used in combination, they will destroy the bacteria according to their respective bactericidal mechanisms, and the overall death rate of the bacteria will increase.
2. The synergistic effect of the total mass fraction of mixed fungicides of 0.0005% was explored above. When the ratio of benzethonium chloride and PHMB is 1:1, the bactericidal rates of Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus can reach 80% respectively , 90%. In the actual production of hygiene products, the standard of sterilization is 90%. Therefore, it is necessary to explore the synergistic effect of the total mass fraction of mixed fungicides higher than 0.0005%.
3. Wet Ones Benzethonium Chloride and PHMB are configured at a ratio of 1:1 to achieve the best synergy, then the ratio of the two in the mixed fungicide is determined to be 1:1, and the total mass fraction of the tested mixed fungicide is 0.001% and 0.005 %.
When Wet Ones Benzethonium Chloride and PHMB are used alone, the bactericidal rate of both Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus is close to 100% when the mass fraction is 0.02%; the other two have synergistic bactericidal effect, and when the two are 1: When used in a mixed ratio of 1, the best bactericidal effect can be achieved. When the two are in the optimal ratio (1:1), the bactericidal rate of the above two bacteria is close to 100% when the total mass fraction of the mixed fungicide is 0.005%.
