What is Sodium Methanolate?

Sodium methoxide is mainly used as a condensing agent, a strong base catalyst and a methoxylation agent to change the fat structure and make it suitable for margarine and so on. It must be removed in the final food. It is also used in the preparation of vitamins B1 and A, sulfadiazine and other drugs, and a small amount is used in the production of pesticides.
