Euk 134 is a synthetic superoxide dismutase (SOD) / catalase analog, which has strong antioxidant activity and inhibition β- amyloid（ β- Amyloid) and related amyloid fiber formation.

Application:

Euk134 shows strong catalase and superoxide dismutase activities, which can protect human fibroblasts from cytotoxicity caused by glucose and glucose oxidase. EUK134(20 μ M) It can prevent in vitro a β- Induced microglia proliferation. In SK-N-MC cells, chemical Book oxidative stress was attenuated by inhibiting MAPK channel. Euk134 protected neuronal cells from H (2) O (2) toxicity, reduced the expression of Pro apoptotic genes p53 and Bax, and enhanced the expression of anti apoptotic bcl-2 gene. Euk134 significantly inhibited the formation of amyloid at two molar ratios of 1:1 and 5:1 (drug and protein).
