To investigate whether myristoyl pentapeptide-17 has a growth-promoting effect on human eyelashes, in a trial, 15 subjects (24-82 years old) applied 10% (100ppm) nutmeg once a day to the base of their eyelashes. SymPeptide™ 226EL containing acyl pentapeptide-17 was applied continuously for 2 weeks, and the changes in eyelashes were detected with image measurement and analysis software (SigmaScan). The results of the experiment showed that the length of the eyelashes of the subjects increased by 25% after two weeks compared with the beginning of the experiment. Tests have shown that Myristoyl Pentapeptide-17 can promote eyelash growth.

In another trial, subjects used SymPeptide™ 226EL containing 5% (50ppm) and 10% (100ppm) myristoyl pentapeptide-17 (once a day for 6 weeks) The measurement and analysis software (SigmaScan) measures the effects of the two concentrations on the left and right eyelashes at 2 weeks, 4 weeks, and 6 weeks.
The test results showed that the length of the eyelashes of the right eye of the subjects in the 5% concentration group increased by 10.47%, 46.3%, and 59.14% at the 2nd, 4th, and 6th weeks respectively; An increase of 7.13%, 22.04%, and 26.16%. In the 10% concentration group, the eyelashes of the left eye increased by 46.26%, 66.39%, and 72.29% at the 2nd, 4th, and 6th week; the eyelashes of the right eye increased by 25.8%, 40.94% at the 2nd, 4th, and 6th week , 63.19%. At the same time, the density of left and right eyelashes of subjects in different concentration groups increased. Experiments have shown that myristoyl pentapeptide-17 can effectively promote the growth of human eyelashes.
