Report one
Zhuang Cimei, Department of Dermatology, Songshan Lake Central Hospital, Dongguan City, and others discussed the effect of Gel De Silica combined with ultra-pulse CO2 fractional laser surgery on the prevention and treatment of skin scars after cesarean section. Methods: A prospective study included 100 post-cesarean patients who were admitted to Dongguan Songshan Lake Central Hospital from July to August 2018 as research objects, and were divided into observation group and control group, 50 cases in each group. The control group received no intervention. The observation group was smeared with Gel De Silica immediately after the stitches were removed from the surgical wound, 3 times a day, and 3 months was a course of treatment; after the completion of the silicone gel treatment, 28 patients in the observation group developed scars, all of whom were treated with ultra-pulse CO2 immediately. Fractional laser treatment, once every 3 months, a total of 3 times. At 3, 6, 9, 12 and 18 months postpartum, the scar morphology was scored by the Vancouver Scar Scale (VSS), and the scar pain and pruritus were scored by the visual analogue scale (VAS). The clinical curative effect and adverse reactions during the treatment of the observation group were recorded. Results: At 3, 6, 9, 12 and 18 months postpartum, the VSS scores of the observation group [(6.00±1.31), (5.38±1.35), (4.78±1.23), (4.20±1.1), (3.92±1.00) ], pain [(2.84±1.02), (2.40±0.93), (2.06±0.62), (1.20±0.67), (1.04±0.60) points] and pruritus [(3.00±1.05), (2.50±0.86), (2.12±0.67), (1.34±0.59), (1.12±0.59) scores] showed a gradual downward trend, and were significantly lower than the VSS scores of the control group [(6.60±1.56), (6.44±1.25), (6.38±1.21), (6.46±1.51), (6.48±1.47) points], pain [(3.94±0.87), (3.82±0.83), (3.76±0.72), (3.72±0.81), (3.66±0.87 ) points] and pruritus [(4.08±0.99), (3.98±0.89), (4.00±0.90), (4.04±0.92), (3.96±0.95) points] scores, the differences were statistically significant (P <0.05) ; There was no significant change in the VSS score, pain and itching scores in the control group (P> 0.05). In the observation group, 9 months after ultrapulse CO2 fractional laser surgery (18 months postpartum), the total effective rate of treatment was 92.9%, and the total effective rate was 82.1%. The incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was low: 14.29% for mild pigmentation and 7.14% for persistent erythema. Conclusion: Gel De Silica combined with ultra-pulse CO2 fractional laser has satisfactory effect on the prevention and treatment of skin scar after cesarean section, and the adverse reactions are mild, which is worthy of clinical application.
Report two,
Gao Xia et al. from the Department of Plastic Surgery, Relationship Cosmetic Surgery Healthcare Facility, Nanjing Medical College, observed the curative effect of topical Beschlek silicone gel or asiaticoside lotion on mark tissue after epicanthus modification. Methods: From March 2016 to March 2017, 90 patients [5 men, 85 women, age (28.1 ± 6.95) years] after epicanthus improvement were split into 90 clients in Department of Plastic Surgery, Relationship Plastic Surgery Healthcare Facility, Nanjing Medical College. There were 3 groups: control group, Beishuhen silicone gel team and asiaticoside cream team, 30 instances in each team. Person as well as Viewer Mark Assessment Range (POSAS) were reviewed at 4 and also 12 weeks after operation, respectively. Follow-up was conducted for 6 months to assess patient satisfaction. Results: At 4 weeks and also 12 weeks after procedure, the POSAS ratings of the Beishuhen silicone gel group and also asiaticoside cream group were dramatically less than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (all P<0.05). At 4 weeks after operation, the POSAS score of the Beishuhen silicone gel team was less than that of the asiaticoside lotion team, the distinction was statistically significant (P<0.05), and there was no significant difference in the POSAS score of the two groups at 12 weeks after operation (P><0.05 ), and there was no substantial distinction in the POSAS rating of both teams at 12 weeks after procedure(P > 0.05 ). During the 6-month follow-up, the patient satisfaction of the Beishuhen silicone gel group as well as the asiaticoside cream team was more than that of the control team (P<0.05); the person satisfaction of the Beishuhen silicone gel team was greater than that of the asiaticoside lotion team (P<0.05). Final thought: Beishuhen silicone gel as well as asiaticoside cream have a great result on hindering the hyperplasia of scar tissue after epicanthus improvement. The medicinal effect of Beishu scar silicone gel is much better than asiaticoside lotion in the onset of scar healing.
